In the second quarter of 2021 the gross domestic product was $454B MX, 0.64% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2021, Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services registered 107,619 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Ciudad de México (14,378), Estado de México (10,312), and Jalisco (8,088).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $298B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($127B MX) and Nuevo León ($27.1B MX).

For its part, total income reached $305B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($131B MX) and Nuevo León ($27.7B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services the states with the highest affinity were Sinaloa (0.88), Chihuahua (0.86), Baja California Sur (0.85), Sonora (0.83), and San Luis Potosí (0.83).

During the second quarter of 2021 in Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services the workforce was 1.52M people, 60.1% men and 39.9% women. In addition, the average monthly salary informed was $5.79k MX.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, 100,098 economic units were totaled in Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, highlighting List Ciudad de México (13,497),Estado de México (9,508),Jalisco (7,533).

Total gross production was $298B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($127B MX) and Nuevo León ($27.1B MX).

Total income reached $305B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($131B MX) and Nuevo León ($27.7B MX).

In 2019, Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services had a total of 100,098 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Cuauhtémoc (3k), Guadalajara (2.99k), and Benito Juárez (2.51k).

Also, $304B MX in total income were registered and the municipalities with the highest income were Miguel Hidalgo ($47B MX), Benito Juárez ($26B MX), and Cuauhtémoc ($22.5B MX).

Total expenditure registered in 2019 was $122B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditure were Miguel Hidalgo ($19B MX), Benito Juárez ($11B MX), and Cuauhtémoc ($9.17B MX).

In 2019 there were 714k employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Miguel Hidalgo (57.4k), Benito Juárez (46.9k), and Cuauhtémoc (40.9k).

According to DENUE data published in May 2021, 95,587 companies with 0 to 10 employees were registered (748 companies less than the previous period). In the same period, 10,028 companies with 11 to 50 employees were registered (1 companies less than the previous period).

848 companies with 51 to 100 employees were registered in 2021 (17 companies more than the previous period). Likewise, 1,156 companies with more than 101 employees were registered (78 companies more than the previous period).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, the distribution of economic units according to size that had access to financing was 9.14% units with up to 10 people, 21.3% units with 11 to 50 people, 29.2% units with 51 to 250 people, and 25.6% units with 251 and more people.

According to the age of the economic units, the distribution of those that obtained financing was 10.6% of the recently created (up to 2 years) units, 10.2% of the youth (3 to 5 years) units, 10.4% of the adults (6 to 10 years) units, and 11% of the seniors (over 10 years) units.

The states with the highest percentage of economic units that received financing were Campeche (14.6%), Ciudad de México (13.1%), Querétaro (12.9%), Colima (12.9%), and Baja California Sur (12.6%).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, 13.1% of the large economic units of the private and parastatal sector of Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services had innovation activities in 2018.

Of the total staff employed in large economic units, 18.9% was employed in product innovation activities, 3.74% in process innovation, 1.7% in market innovation, 2.9% in organizational innovation, and 3.24% in innovation for technological adaptation and documentation.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, the lowercase Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Sector had 637 economic units that had qualified staff in technological research and development activities, 40 economic units had it for research and technological development in the field of Biotechnology and 37 economic units for research and technological development in Nanotechnology.

In the same year, 110 economic units had qualified personnel in the registration or processing of patents for brands, products or processes, and 57 economic units had this type of staff to contracts or acquisition of patents for brands, products or processes.
