The main sale from Mexico to Panama in 2021 was Oils of Petroleum or Bituminous Minerals (US$354M). The main origins of sales to Panama were Ciudad de México (US$622M), Nuevo León (US$223M), and Estado de México (US$149M).

The main product bought by Mexico from Panama in 2021 was Palm Oil and its Fractions, whether or not Refined, but not Chemically Modified (US$18M). The main destinations of purchases made to Panama were Ciudad de México (US$14.8M), Jalisco (US$14.7M), and Guanajuato (US$5.19M).

In the period January to March 2022, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Panama to Mexico is -US$1.1M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from Panama were Quintana Roo (Confidential), Yucatán (Confidential), and Puebla (Confidential).

Regarding remittances, in the first quarter of 2022, Mexico received US$10.8M in remittances from Panama, while Panama received US$1.39M in remittances from Mexico.
