The main product bought by Mexico from Ecuador in 2021 was Cocoa Beans, whole or Broken, Raw or Roasted (US$56.5M). The main destinations of purchases made to Ecuador were Ciudad de México (US$75.9M), Jalisco (US$32.5M), and Chihuahua (US$29.7M).

In the period January to March 2022, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Ecuador to Mexico is US$2.6M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from Ecuador were Estado de México (Confidential), Nuevo León (Confidential), and Ciudad de México (Confidential).
